GOBI (Global Broadband Internet) is the first multi-mode (EVDO/HSPA) wireless Cellular broadband product on the market and by the 1st quarter of 2009 will be embedded across the entire line of Panasonic Toughbook Mobile Computers. GOBI Cellular modems make carrier specific radios obsolete; as this technology will allow cross carrier functionality wherever your cellular phone works. When used in conjunction with Panasonic's Carrier Selection Application(CSA); users or IT directors can change which carrier the card will utilize via software only; removing the need for carrier specific modem management. |
